Ikebana, or Japanese flower arrangement, is a traditional art form that uses seasonal plants to create beautiful displays reflecting Japan’s unique aesthetic of wabi-sabi. Unlike Western flower arrangements, Ikebana creates a distinctly Japanese atmosphere. In this course, participants will first learn the fundamentals of Ikebana, then experience the joy of arranging flowers themselves. Guided by an expert instructor, participants will also learn tips for creating more elegant and refined arrangements. Finally, to fully immerse in the experience, participants will have the opportunity to wear a kimono.
