You can see the clash of bodies and the true spirit of the wrestlers.

This experience can be held anywhere, regardless of location. The tour begins with a former sumo wrestler giving a detailed explanation of the history, rules, and techniques of sumo. During this time, you are free to ask questions, and many questions are asked about “what they usually eat,” “how they practice,” “how they get around,” and so on. Through this exchange, communication between former rikishi and guests deepens and the atmosphere becomes very lively.
Afterwards, former rikishi will perform a full-scale bout. Even the bigger foreign guests will have an opportunity to challenge the former rikishi to a showdown, which will be difficult to win, making for a fun time of laughter and amazement.
At the end of the experience, a commemorative photo with a former sumo wrestler will be taken. We can also provide authentic chanko-nabe after the experience if the client so desires.

Motenas Japan’s commitment to the Sumo Experience
01 Watch real sumo wrestling by real wrestlers right in front of you!
The intense physical clashes between former rikishi give the audience an overwhelming sense of power. There are few opportunities to actually watch sumo in front of the audience, so visitors can fully enjoy the realism of the event, which is different from watching sumo on TV.

02 Explaining the demanding world of sumo
In addition to the usual sumo matches in the ring, we will also introduce behind-the-scenes information about the sumo world, such as training sessions and the daily lives of individual rikishi, which you would not normally be able to see.
Visitors can enjoy not only the pageantry of the stage, but also the efforts and traditions of the rikishi who support the event.

03 Communication with Rikishi
While many of the wrestlers we see on television have a stern expression, many of the actual rikishi are gentle and cheerful.
While interacting with these wrestlers, visitors can come into contact with a deeper side of the sumo world that is usually unknown to them. This unexpected gap in the world of sumo is very appealing and popular among foreign visitors.
